Our Journey to Japan

As we prepare to embark on our life together as a married couple, my fiancé and I have chosen Japan as the destination for an unforgettable adventure. It’s a country that perfectly captures our shared passions—rich culture, stunning landscapes, and all the nerdy things we love. Here’s what we’ve planned for our trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, Mt. Fuji, and Osaka.

Tokyo: Tourist Stuff and City Vibes

We’re kicking things off in Tokyo. Gonna do the classic touristy things—check out temples like Senso-ji, wander around Shibuya with all the crazy lights, and maybe chill in some gardens if we’re feeling fancy. We’ll grab some matcha, poke around Akihabara for anime goodies, and just soak up the whole big-city energy. Should be a fun way to start!

Kyoto & Mt. Fuji: Chill Time with a View

Next up is Kyoto—think red shrine gates at Fushimi Inari and that shiny gold Kinkaku-ji temple. After that, we’re stoked to crash at a spa hotel near Mt. Fuji. Hot springs with a killer view of the mountain? Yes, please. It’s gonna be super relaxing, and we’re pumped to see that iconic peak up close.

Osaka: Japanese Eats and Nerdy Fun

Then we’re off to Osaka. We’ve got an all-inclusive hotel, so we’ll be stuffing our faces with Japanese food we love—like takoyaki, and maybe some ramen—without even leaving the building. At night, we’ll hit up Dotonbori for the vibes. The big wins, though? Super Nintendo World, Osaka Castle, Pokémon Centers, and anime shops. We’re basically kids in a candy store for that part.

Why Japan?

Japan has always interested us both—cool history, epic views, and all the geeky stuff we’re obsessed with. Plus, the food’s a bonus since we’re into Japanese grub.
